Lovely things.

I’ve been tired of late. Like, sleep for 10 hours, but still feel like having a nap after being awake for 6 hours, tired. I don’t know if it’s physical or mental, but no matter how down I feel, I’ve never lost my optimism. Ever. When I have a crappy day I go to sleep with a voice in my head that says, ‘well today sucked, but hey, you’ll do better tomorrow.‘ If I ever stop believing that tomorrow will be better, that’s when I’ll be really worried.

But I can still enjoy some things while feeling ridiculously tired.

Night drives are pretty swell.

Freshly baked bread and freshly ground dukkah, made lovingly by my boy, is fairly wonderful.

Photos of an angelic Daisy can only make me smile.

And watching foster kittens learn how to socialise with other cats and people is nothing short of amazing.

So here’s to tomorrow, my friends, when yet again I will try to do more than just stay awake.

I hope that you feel better soon. I know this sounds strange, but daughter2 find it easier to cope with her chronic fatigue if she maintains a certain level of physical activity. If she stops that, she stops, full stop.

Chronic fatigue must be so hard to deal with. I do find I have more energy when I’m active, it’s just a matter of motivating myself to get out there. 🙂

Not sure if that is something for you, but when I feel that way I make sure to have lots of physical activity (workouts, window cleaning/cleaning, long walks in high tempo…etc) and then give the body exactly what it needs – sleep.

You’re completely right, but it’s a vicious cycle, too tired to exercise, tired from not exercising. I just need to get myself into a good routine.

I just had lunch, and the picture of your home baked bread and dukkah just about made me put on a few more kgs 😉
maybe its the weather? Although I love these days, I find after a few days that the gloominess gets to me – the only thing that makes it better is a warm cup of hot chocolate and some brownies just for a bit of choc overload.
ps. on the SAFE forum you can read about my 1st proper foster pup. Her name is Millie – maybe her pretty face will put a smile on your face 🙂

I love these cool rainy days so much! It’s the hot weather that brings me down. Bring on the rain! 😀 Hot choc and brownies still sound like a good idea though. Yay for your first foster pup! I hope it goes well!

Keep up the happy thoughts! Tomorrow WILL be better.
